Tinting is a process where your eyebrows and/or eyelashes are dyed to make them look darker. Compared to putting on mascara, the effects of eyelash tinting is very natural.

A typical eyebrow tint takes 10 minutes and eyelash tint around fifteen minutes, because of this, the treatment is very convenient and can fit into the busiest of schedules. Based upon your skin type and hair colour, the beauty therapist will recommend which tint colour will suit to your complexion best. Typically black or blue black is used for eyelash tinting to make eyelashes darker and provide greater definition to your eyes.  It is worth noting that it is not possible to make your eyelashes lighter in shade than the natural colour of your eyelashes.

Eyebrow and Eyelash tinting can benefit people that are sensitive to make-up. Who have limited time for applying make-up daily or simply wish to reduce their daily make-up routine. The treatment is ideal for people who are active in sports, especially swimming (which is not compatible with alternative beauty treatments like eyelash extensions).

How is Eyebrow and Eyelash Tinting done?

Once you arrive at the Lagoon Wimbledon for your appointment, we place cotton pads under your closed eyes and then apply a small amount of tint onto your eyelashes. After ten minutes (or so), the dye is removed with water. Eyebrow tinting is a similar process with tint applied to your brows.

Is Eyelash and Eyebrow Tinting Safe?

Yes. However, since eyelash and eyebrow tinting takes place close to the eyes, it is important to visit a quality beauty salon with qualified beauty therapists to ensure the procedure is undertaken correctly and safely. For new tinting clients at Lagoon Wimbledon, you must undergo a patch test before any tinting procedure (with a minimum safety period of 24 hours). This is to check that you do not have an allergic reaction or sensitivity to the tinting products used.

Home tinting kits should be avoided. As a self applied treatment can be messy and is likely to yield inferior results when compared to a professional salon service. Eyelash tinting done by a professional therapist can provide amazing and long lasting results.
